In Druid's Blood, Friesner blends fictional characters with historical throughout the novel. I’m not a huge history buff, but I was very pleased to see Ada Lovelace and the princes in the Tower make appearances/5. Druid Blood is an introduction to the character of Colin McCool from Junkyard Druid.
This story is toned down as it was originally for young adults were as the main series is targeted for adults. I really enjoyed reading about Colin's introduction into the magic realm/5(62). But I noticed that Druids is the first book in the two-book series, so read it first.
